    THURSDAY, March 12

    Cynthiana Board of Adjustment will meet Thursday, March 12 at 6 p.m. in the Planning Commission Office at the Harrison County Courthouse, South Main Street. The meetings are open to the public. Harrison County Board of Education will not meet this month due to no items on the agenda.

    Berry City Commission will meet Thursday, March 12 at 7 p.m., at Berry City Hall. The meetings are open to the public.

    The Cynthiana-Harrison County United Methodist fellowship service to benefit the Scholarship Fund will be held March 15 at 6 p.m. at Lair United Methodist Church.

    The speaker will be Dr. Steve Moses, a former recipient of the fund. Come to support this worthy cause.

    Appal Seeds Program. Thursday, March 5 starting at 6 p.m. in the Feix Community Room at the Cynthiana-Harrison County Public Library. This program will present all about heirloom tomato seeds. Each participant will receive 4-6 varieties of tomato seeds as well as several seedlings. All materials are provided free of charge. Pre-registration is required.

    Story Hour. Friday, March 6 from 4:30-5 p.m. for ages 2-5 in the Feix Community Room at the Cynthiana-Harrison County Public Library. Pre-registration is not needed.

    CYNTHIANA BAPTIST

    The Cynthiana Baptist Church family welcomes their new Interim Pastor, the Rev. John Withers of Lexington, Ky. Withers was recently called to Cynthiana Baptist Church and will be filling the pulpit until a full time senior pastor is called.

    Withers was born in Cynthiana to Otis and Della Withers. He married Carol McDonald, also of Cynthiana.  They have three sons, eight grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren.

    Ebenezer United Methodist Church will host a food sale on March 7 at 10 a.m.

    Homemade chili, crackers and pimento cheese sandwich, ice tea for $3; or bean soup and cornbread, ice tea for $3.

    The event is sponsored by the UMM and UMW.
