    CORNERSTONE CHRISTIAN CHURCH

    Cornerstone Christian Church will host its annual yard sale Saturday, June 26, from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. at 104 Court St.

    A variety of items will be sold.

    Hot dogs, chips and drinks will also be sold at the event.

    Humane Society Yard Sale. Thursday, June 3 will accept donations at 6:30 p.m. Sale will be June 4 from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m., and June 5 from 9 a.m. to noon, at the Cynthiana Presbyterian Church. Donations are tax deductible and will be used to promote animal welfare in Harrison County.

    * Log Cabin, Feb. 17, 1905 - “‘Tact’ is the subject of a lecture to be given here next Tuesday by Mary Patton Hulton of Cincinnati under the auspices of the Daughters of the Confederacy. The proceeds are to be used to purchase markers for Confederate graves at Battle Grove Cemetery and at Johnson Island. The Shelby News says ‘Tact’ was given by Hulton to a most enthusiastic people. It is a most captivating talk over-running with mirth and luminous with sense.”’

    Cynthiana Board of Adjustment will meet Thursday, June 10 at 6 p.m. in the Planning Commission Office at the Harrison County Courthouse, South Main Street. The meetings are open to the public.

    CENTRAL CHRISTIAN

    Central Christian Church is hosting Vacation Bible School July 5-9. Classes are offered for Pre-K through sixth grade. All children are welcome.

    Come join as we go to the “Saddle Ridge Ranch” for a week of fun and adventure. Will make fun crafts, hear Bible stories, eat snacks, play games and sing camp songs from 6-8:30 p.m.

    There will be a pre-registration cookout in the church parking lot on Saturday, July 3 starting at 4:30 p.m. There will be food and games.

    Members of Boyd United Methodist Church will be having a church fundraiser on June 5 from 9 a.m.-4 p.m. This fun filled day will consist of a huge yard sale, bake sale, raffles, food, and auction. Come join all the fun.

    June 16 - Rees-Lebus Group will meet at 1 p.m. at Biancke’s.

    HOUR OF DELIVERANCE

    The Rev. William Gaunce of The Hour of Deliverance Chapel along with Earl Gross and Time of Harvest Ministries, invites the entire community to their first monthly Ministry Outreach Program. There will be singing, praise and worship. The Outreach program will be held May 29 at 6 p.m. on the courthouse grounds, corner of Main and Pike sts., Cynthiana.

    Community support is needed in order for this program to work.
