    Creatures of the Night Teen Zombie Party will be held at the Cynthiana-Harrison County Public Library on Wednesday, July 18 at 1:30 p.m. for ages 10 and up. Stephen Hollen will be present to tell stories about Creatures of the Night including zombies, vampires, Frankenstein, and ghosts. You will also learn to do zombie stage make-up and play zombie games. Pre-registration is appreciated.

    Let’s Glow Craft Program. Thursday, July 12 at 1:30 p.m. at the Cynthiana-Harrison County Public Library. Listen to stories about fireflies and pretend to catch some in hand-painted Glow Jar. For ages 4 and up. Pre-registration is recommended.

    The Flora Shropshire Animal Shelter will be offering adoption of kittens and cats for $25 during the month of July.
    Find your new best friend at this special price and get their first vet exam, rabies shot and spay/neuter included at this price. Kitten season is going on now so there are plenty of kittens and their moms looking for new homes.

    Shakers and the Civil War. Thursday, June 21 at 7 p.m. at the Cynthiana-Harrison County Public Library. Presented by Susan Hughes from Shaker Village of Pleasant Hill. This is a joint presentation of the public library and the Harrison County Historical Society.
    FRIDAY, June 22
    HCHS Marching Band Fundraiser. The event will take place Friday and Saturday, June 22 and 23 from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. in the old  HA Jones parking lot, Cynthiana. Yard sale, crafts, vendors are welcome. Call 859-298-4796 for a spot. Cost is $25.

    Berry City Commission will meet Thursday, June 14 at 7 p.m., at Berry City Hall. The meetings are open to the public.
