    THURSDAY, June 23
    Historical Society. The Harrison County Historical Society will hold its monthly meeting on June 23 at 7 p.m. A panel of former Cynthiana firemen will tell about their efforts and the events that occurred while fighting the Monticello Mansion fire, July 8-9, 1985. The meeting will be held at Hospice of the Bluegrass, 1317 US Hwy. 62 East. Enter by the rear entrance where the meeting room is the first room on the left.

    Adult Program Bookstore. Thursday, June 16 from 10 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. at the Cynthiana-Harrison County Public Library. Bookstore will be open for adult summer reading participants to turn in their reading reviews in order to receive free books and register for prizes.
    Minute To Win It. Thursday, June 16 at 2 p.m. at the Cynthiana-Harrison County Public Library. Participate in a variety of minute to win it games. For grades 6th through 12th.

    Berry City Commission will meet Thursday, June 9 at 7 p.m., at Berry City Hall. The meetings are open to the public.
    Adult Program Bookstore. Thursday, June 9 from 10 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. at the Cynthiana-Harrison County Public Library. Bookstore will be open for adult summer reading participants to turn in their reading reviews in order to receive free books and register for prizes. This will be the first bookstore day for adults. The other days are as follows: June 16, June 23, June 30, July 7, July 14 and July 21.

    Cynthiana City Commission will meet Tuesday, June 2, 5:30 p.m., upstairs City Hall in the commissioners’ room. The meetings are open to the public will meet on the first and third Tuesday of each month.
    Northside Council. The Northside Site Based Council will hold a special meeting on Thursday, June 2 at 1 p.m. in the school library. The public is invited to attend.

Pre-registration is appreciated and encouraged.
    Blood Drive. Thursday, May 5 from 2-6 p.m. at Eastside Elementary School, 1226 US Hwy. 62 East, Cynthiana, on the KBC Bloodmobile. Donors must be 17 years old. Donors will receive a $10 gift card.
