When I was younger, I remember living for summer. We would play in the woods, play baseball, football, swim, fish and stay up late. We would usually go on vacation, camping or to the beach. Summer was my favorite season of the year, for sure.
It’s been a while since I thought about skipping church because of the sermon topic, but last week I was tempted.
At my church we’re currently going through a sermon series on “Love Thy Neighbor,” which in itself isn’t a skipping-church-worthy topic. I mean, who doesn’t agree that we should love our neighbors as we love ourselves?
By the definition alone we can see how deadly addiction is. Webster says addiction is the “state of being enslaved to a habit or practice or to something that is psychologically or physically habit-forming, as narcotics, to such an extent that its cessation causes severe trauma.”
