    During my senior year of high school, I lived with my grandparents. My grandparents lived, at that time, a mile off the main dirt road. The joke around there was the sun set between Somerset and their house.

    There will be a non denominational gathering for prayer for our country Thursday, May 1 at the city gym at noon. This is a National event and there will be prayer events like this all over the U.S. on that day.
    The event is sponsored by the Harrison County Ministerial Association.

    A revival will be held April 25-27 at Berry Baptist Church, Berry, Ky., featuring Bluegrass Boys Quartet.

    When I was a new Christian, I discovered a portrait of Jesus called the “Laughing Christ” at a Christian book store.
    At the time I was attending a serious church, a church where the thought of Jesus laughing was most likely frowned on. Maybe Jesus smiled at babies and puppies, but telling jokes with his friends? God forbid.

    One of our favorite seasons is upon us. Easter is the moment of celebration for all Christians.
    I appreciate all the special services that occur during this time of our spiritual lives. I even appreciate some of the secular activities as well.
    One of my favorite times of the year is the Bunny Blast we have for the children of our church.
