Bill Wright is seeking election as Magistrate of District 4 (Leesburg, Licking Valley and Extension Office precincts).

He previously served as magistrate of District 6 where he said he was active in all fiscal court matters.

He served on the road committee, E911 street addressing committee and the animal shelter committee.

Wright is an IBM retiree, veteran of the US Marine Corps and member of the American Legion where he serves on the honor guard, performing military funerals and other special ceremonies.

He has been the owner/auctioneer of Wright Auction Co. for over 20 years.

He is a life-time farmer, residing on Switzer Pike. He raises Texas Longhorns, blackberries and honey bees.

Wright’s family consists of his wife Kathy, his sons Tim and Jared Wright, daughters Rachel (Nathan) Wilson and Elizabeth (Lee) Deese, granddaughter, Shelbie Lynn Wright, and grandson, Elijah Thomas Deese.

He enjoys several hobbies besides farming, including Civil War Reenactment and collecting and restoring classic cars.  He also serves on the Cynthiana Rod Run committee.

“I am interested  in completion of the court house renovation, expanding local businesses and getting new industries in our Industrial Park,” said Wright. “Soybeans and storage buildings just don’t generate the tax base expansion we need to provide the services expected of our citizens. I have no personal political agenda other than a cost efficient county government.  I will represent the issues and concerns of our citizens to the fiscal court and respond in a timely manner to all inquiries.

“I am a commonsense conservative, realizing that to be progressive we must sometimes compromise. I have the experience, dedication and time to do an effective job,” he said.
