Woodrich named NRCS State Conservationist

Karen Woodrich has been named Kentucky’s USDA Natural Resources Conservation Service (NRCS) State Conservationist.
Woodrich comes to Kentucky from Champaign, Ill., where she served as the Assistant State Conservationist for Operations.
She has also served as Acting State Conservationist in Vermont, and an Area Conservationist covering 23 counties in Iowa.
Woodrich graduated from the University of Wisconsin – Stevens Point with a Soil Science degree and early in her career she worked for an environmental engineering company. Her career with NRCS started in Michigan and later moved to Wisconsin, where she held various positions in several field offices.  
She is a north-central Wisconsin native and was raised on a dairy farm and Christmas tree farm.
Woodrich and her husband, Chi are thrilled to be in Kentucky and look forward to enjoying the events Kentucky has to offer. Both are avid outdoors-people. Chi enjoys hunting and Karen archery.  She likes to spend her free time gardening and exploring nature trails.
Both are active church members.
