Dick Webb, 28, will be the new Harrison County High School basketball coach. Webb is currently head basketball coach at Bell County High School in Pineville, Ky.

Harrison County Fiscal Court approves the construction of a shelter house on the northwest corner of the courthouse lawn. The small building will provide a shelter for people who want to sit on the courthouse lawn. The building will be 10 feet x 12 feet, have a 3-foot concrete block wall with a 4-foot opening and a wooden roof. Estimated cost would be less than $1,000, with much of the material and labor being donated.

The Cynthiana-Harrison County Civic Development Corporation was chartered and articles of incorporation filed for record here. The corporation was organized primarily to acquire land which might later be used for off-street parking sites and could also purchase land suitable as industrial sites.
