A proposed zoning ordinance will, if passed, make unsecured mobile homes and closely placed homes in the county a thing of the past. The changes mainly involve classifications of mobile homes and agricultural land division.
The state has 172 miles to clear in Harrison County, the county road department has 360 miles of road, and the city of Cynthiana has 40-50 miles of roadway to keep snow-free.
The Voyager team at Harrison County Middle School participates in a holiday project. The students bought 59 new teddy bears to be given to children at Harrison Memorial Hospital who will be spending their holiday at HMH.
The Cynthiana City Commission passed an ordinance annexing 357 acres south of Cynthiana and west of US 27. The annexation includes: Harrison Square, Kocolene, Jones Auto, and the Valley Dairy Queen. Everything on Connersville Pike to the proposed site of the industrial park, near Ammerman Pike.
