Births announced this week are: Samuel Henry Crump, Sept. 1, son of Lewis and Melinda Crump; Natalie Ann Crump, Sept. 21, daughter of Jessica Crump.
The City of Cynthiana received a “Renaissance Kentucky” bronze distinction. The program started in 1997 as a way to recognize and help support Kentucky communities wanting to restore and vitalize their downtown areas. Over the past two years, $32 million dollars have been given to the communities for various projects who applied for the program.
