Ground breaking held on Church Street for the water district project. The waterlines in the north-east quadrant of town are going to be replaced to increase the water pressure in homes within the quadrant. New fire hydrants will also help the fire department. Total cost of the project is $979,000.
The Jewelers Bench, 18 E. Pike St., is moving to 107 S. Main St.

King and Slade Appliance Co. will be closing its door and all merchandise has been sold to Adams and Moore. George D. Slade assumed full ownership of the business in February 1959.
Cynthiana Motor Company (used car dealer) will move back to the former location where fire destroyed the building last November.
