Cynthiana Home Medical Equipment Sales and Rental have moved to their new location at 660 US 27 South (Southside Plaza, former location of Sunstar Entertainment).

Officials of the Kentucky Department of Transportation and US congressmen gather at the London Toll Plaza on the Daniel Boone Parkway to celebrate the toll free parkways. Removal of the toll booths on the Daniel Boone and Cumberland parkways will begin immediately, creating free travel on those parkways.

Cynthiana’s efforts to improve housing conditions took a step forward with the passage of a Housing Code and discussion of a possible urban renewal project. Commissioners voted to adopt the Kentucky Housing and Unsafe Building Code.

 The 26-year-old jewelry business of Rees Williams has been sold to a Cincinnati firm owned by Jack A. Getz. Mr. and Mrs. Williams will manage the Bourbon Bowl Lanes in Paris.
