The Community Christmas Project is in its 16th year for Christmas aid. The project coordinator is Peggy Carson. Carson, along with Jeannie Willis, Mary Lois Brunker and Pogie Whitaker pooled funds to purchase a pool table for one of Harrison County’s nursing homes. The project soon grew to include the children of Harrison County. Proceeds and donations go to the project fund and are used to buy gits for about 500 people.
