Negotiations for the sale of Cynthiana’s Grede Perm Cast are still not complete. Grede bought the New Lair Road facility in 1986 from Eaton Corporation, which built the factory in 1972. Grede manufactures gray iron castings.
Flash floods rip through Connersville, Leesburg when an unexpected seven to nine inches of rain was reported early Sunday morning.
Grede employees receives notification that an agreement between Grede and General Castings has been reached and that the close of the sale should occur at the end of the week.
