Purchase of four buildings and 63.5 acres of land (Abdallah Park site) has been purchased by the Harrison County Industrial Foundation. The area is located southwest of Church Street near the Licking River. Approximate cost of the transaction was $235,000 with land figured at $1,000 an acre and the buildings at less than four dollars a square foot. The site will be developed for industrial use under a crash program already underway.
Kawneer to build 30,000 sq. ft. of storage space. The move is being made necessary because of the recent purchase of Abdallah Park where Kawneer presently leases buildings for property storage.
The Rural Electrification Administration has granted a $317,000 loan to the Harrison Rural Electric Cooperative for expansion.
The Dutch Inn Restaurant on US 27 north of Cynthiana was sold to Mr. and Mrs. Joe Groves. The sale was made for Mary Ellen Derossett and immediate possession was given.
