Thirty students from the Harrison County Area Technology Center attended the Skills USA Regional Competition in Lexington on Friday. Those vocational students receiving first place were Brittane Smith (Desktop Publishing), Kami Wiglesworth (Extemp. Speaking), Daniel Thornton and Ryan Claypool (Mechatronics Team), Kelcee Conlee and Brittane Smith (Promotional Bulletin Board), Luke Perraut (Related Technology Math), and Micah Fryman (Welding Sculpture). Those students receiving second place awards were Nikki Sikking (CPR/First Aid), Kelcee Conlee (Desktop Publishing), John Marshall and Jake Rowland (Mechatronics Team), Bailey Brown (Poster), and Brandon Carson (Welding). Students receiving third place awards were Josh Curtis (Job Skill Demo A), Sarah Miller (Pledge), Johnathan Gaunce (Precision Machining) and Bobby White, Carver Hill and David Barnes (Welding Fabrication Team).
