The Harrison County Board of Education has a spot to fill.
According to school officials, board member and vice-chairman Lucy Vanhook will resign from her position, effective Dec. 31, 2009.
“I made a desicion to resign last month...” Vanhook said Wednesday morning. “Due to my conflict with work schedules, I wasn’t being able to give the students the time a board member ought to give, so I thought it was time to step down.”
Vanhook is employed by Recovery Works in Georgetown, where she works second/third shift.
