A Harrison County man arrested last summer in a multi-agency drug sting has started serving time in federal prison.
Michael Clayton Vance was sentenced to 31 months in prison on Jan. 25 as part of a guilty plea entered in United States District Court.
Vance reported to prison on March 10.
He was arrested at Wal-Mart on July 18, 2007, after he allegedly took $18,000 from a Crown Royal bag to purchase 20 gallons of paint, which translated to 20 pounds of marijuana.
