A string of Tuesday night-Wednesday morning burglaries on U.S. 27 North is being investigated.

Det. Paul Olin, of the Harrison County Sheriffs Department, said he is investigating break ins at four businesses just north of Cynthiana.

Galactic Alley bowling lanes, Handy Man Tool Rental, Bruins Landscaping and the Harrison Veterinary Clinic were all hit, Olin said.

He suspects there were several people involved, by the amount of activity involved.

They probably spent the good part of the evening, on the break ins, Olin said.

Cash was apparently taken from Galactic Alley, Bruins and Handyman. At the vet clinic, Olin said it was possible medications were stolen. He said there was evidence some had been taken, but he found where some had been set down as well.

Olin said all the businesses were entered forcibly and that damage ranged from slight to fairly heavy.
