Larry Willis was found guilty late Thursday afternoon of first degree assault and second degree assault in the Aug. 22, 2007 shooting of his estranged wife, Ruby.
Before closing arguments were made Thursday, the jury was advised of the options it had in the case. Each count was placed as a aresult of a gunshot wound, one for the shoulder and one for the abdomen.
For the shoulder wound, the options were assault second degree, assault under extreme emotional disturbance, assault fourth degree and aquittal.
