A candlelight vigil is being planned for 6 p.m. Sunday night in front of the Harrison County Courthouse. In the event of inclement weather, the Cynthiana Fire Department at City Hall will open its bay doors for the ceremony. Lois Gross of the St. James AME Church is planning the event.
According to Dale Kendrick, minister at Salem Church of Christ where the Chesnuts once attended, the family lost all tangible belongings in their home. He said Journey Church at Harrison Square is accepting donations of clothes and home furnishings.
Antioch Mills Christian Church on U.S. 27 North is accepting clothes for the family. The following are the clothings sizes and ages: 7-year-old girl, size 7T clothes and size 2 shoe; 15-year-old girl, medium top, size 4 jeans and 10 shoe; 17-year-old girl, medium top, 6 jeans and 9 shoe; 19-year-old girl, small top, size 2 jeans and 9 shoe; 20-year-old male, 30/32 pant, large shirt and 11 shoe; mother, large top, 7-long slacks and 9 1/2 shoe; father, 38/32 (comfort band) pant, 2 XL shirt, 11 1/2 shoe.
The Fayette County Coroner’s Office has confirmed that four-year old Rachel Chestnut has died from injuries sustained in a Wednesday afternoon fire at her Oddville Avenue home. The cause of death is smoke inhalation.
Sister Jacqueline, 5, died in that fire.
Father Terry Chesnut remains in UK Chandler Medical Center where he and Rachel were airlifted following their rescue by firefighters.

The Harrison County Coroner's office has confirmed that the 5-year-old child who perished in Wednesday afternoon's fire is Jacqueline Chesnut, daughter of Shelly and Terry Chesnut. An autopsy has been ordered for the child.
Terry Chesnut and his 4-year-old daughter Rachel remain in critical condition at the University of Kentucky Chandler Medical Center.
Jacqueline's funeral will be held at Rolan Taylor Funeral Home in Winchester, Ky.

Harrison Memorial Hospital has confirmed that a 5-year-old pediatric patient was brought to the hospital unresponsive and was unable to be resusitated.
The hospital confirms that three patients were taken to the hospital, two children and one adult. The children's ages were 4 and 5 years old. The adult and the 4-year-old were airlifted to the University of Kentucky Medical Center.

A neighbor confirmed that the residence is that of Shelly and Terry Chesnut, 309 Oddville Ave. There are two small children who stay home during the day and other children who are school-aged.
"I saw them playing in the backyard yesterday, or maybe the day before," said Jeff Stoner of his neighbor's. "It's a shame they weren't out today."

At 2:15 p.m. the Harrison County Coroner's office confirmed one fatality from the fire. However, information regarding an age or identification has not been released.

Three people were airlifted to the University of Kentucky Hospital Wednesday around noon after a fire broke out at their Oddville Avenue home.
Cynthiana Fire Chief Jay Sanders said when firefighters arrived at the home, which is across from Cooper Wholesale, a man was outside the home trying to knock down the flames.
“A neighbor said there were small children inside,” Sanders said. “That’s when we headed inside.”
The man who was outside fighting the fire when first responders arrived was taken to Harrison Memorial Hospital by Brown Ambulance Service. Two small children were also transported to HMH to be airlifted.
No names have been released.
Firefighters were still on the scene at press time. However, three helicopters -- two pediatric -- had been called in to take the victims to Lexington.
