Two new commissioners named in Berry; Carey takes board seat

Berry residents elected two new members to the city commission and kept two incumbents.

Melissa Lea and Mary Nichols will take places on the commission, with Lea earning 53 votes and Nichols, 34.

Incumbents Donald Brown and Johnny Murphy were the two top vote earners, with Murphy’s 66 and Brown’s 55.

Write-in candidate James House Jr., fell short of making the commission, with 29 votes.
