The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet has announced that the Twin Creek Road (CR 1223) will be closed beginning June 8. Twin Creek Road is in Harrison County and carries local traffic from KY 356 into Scott County. The closure is part of the new construction of the bridge and approaches over South Fork of Twin Creek.
Fredrick & May Construction Company from West Liberty was awarded the project with a low bid of $220,879.05.
The new concrete bridge will be 42 feet long with two 11-foot lanes and will meet current design standards which will provide safer passage for all who travel this road. Message boards will be placed informing motorists to seek alternate routes.
