Three people were arrested Friday after an anonymous tip led police to Walmart where a theft was alleged to take place.
Sgt. Wilbur Gross of the Cynthiana Police Department found the suspect’s vehicle in a handicapped parking space at Walmart and walked to the window to talk to the subjects.
Gross said as he approached the vehicle he noticed several items in the back that were still in packages with tags attached.
He said that as police separated the suspects, it became apparent that the merchandise had been taken from the Georgetown Walmart.
