The Harrison County Thorobreds stretched their consecutive win streak to five games while halting Henry Clay’s streak at six with a 7-5 win on the Hilltop Friday.
“This was the best pitcher we have faced since we left Las Vegas,” said Thorobreds assistant coach Eddie Feeback after the game. “He had a good fast ball and some good off speed pitches.”
Feeback was referring to Blue Devil sophomore Walker Buechler, who was touched up for seven hits and six runs in five innings by the Thorobreds. Buechler walked one, hit one batter and struck out four of the 26 batters he faced.
