Thanks for supporting the Community Christmas Project

-A A +A

To the editor:
Members of the Community Christmas Project would like to thank the community for their support. Harrison Countians can be counted on year after year to help provide Christmas presents for young children here.
Since the early 1970’s the Community Christmas Project has provided Christmas to Harrison County children birth to 10 years of age. Mama lived for this time of the year and worked hard to bring the project where it is today. We know as she spent this Christmas in heaven she was smiling on all of us.
A very special thank you to the Harrison County Fire Department for letting us use their building and the many firemen and fireladies who donated their time for the Community Christmas Project.
The project has many special angels in the community and they know who they are. The Charles family along with churches and 3M employees. There were also the Elks and Hometown Pharmacy, one of our new businesses that helped make this a successful year.
A very grateful thank you to Alex Barnett, Mark Cockrell and friends who donated new toys and profits from their pig roast. You guys are wonderful.
The Community Christmas Project provided toys for almost 500 children this Christmas season.
Again your contributions are greatly appreciated. May you and yours have a blessed year.
