To the editor:
I have been a volunteer at KET, Kentucky’s statewide public television system, since 2009. I have volunteered my time because I believe in KET and for years my family and I have enjoyed the diverse, wonderful programming and services KET provides. I want to take part in passing those things on to others in my community.
KET keeps us informed on public affairs, arts, health, and education in the Commonwealth as well as producing programs that focus on Kentucky. Many may not be aware of how extensively KET serves the community through its many outreach efforts and services to our schools.
KET also delivers outstanding national programming and many non-violent, commercial-free children’s programs that parents know they can trust.
For all these reasons, I support KET and urge others to do the same. Please show your support, along with me, during KET’s upcoming TeleFund 2013, March 2-17. I will personally be taking phone pledges Monday, March 4 from 7-11 p.m. ET. Call me at 1-800-866-0366. You’ll feel proud to be a supporter of KET, knowing that you’re helping to keep great programs and services on the air for all Kentuckians.
