A superintendent of Harrison County Schools has yet to be named.
Board chairman Ed Taylor said that while they had anticipated naming the new leader following last Friday's meeting, it will now likely be the end of this week before that happens.
He said four of the candidates are being called back for second interviews.
The search committee recommended six individuals for the position, which is being vacated by retiring Dr. Roy Woodward at the end of the fiscal year in June.
Taylor said that two of the six candidates declined having their names released to the media. The four finalists who agreed are Andy Dotson, Debra Fischer, Robert Stafford and Jane Morgenthal.
Taylor noted that those four are not necessarily the final four.
