October is Digital Citizenship/Internet Safety Month and Harrison County schools are hoping to teach students and parents how to be good citizens in the virtual world.
“It is important for both students and adults to realize that being a good digital citizen is vital in today’s society,” said Chief Information Officer Melissa Shepard. “Not only are we citizens of the physical location in which we live, but because much of our communication now happens via the computer, we are also citizens of the world through virtual means.”
