-A A +A
By Becky Barnes

Harrison County transportation officer Larry Turner told members of the fiscal court Tuesday that he will provide eight state prisoners to work during Clean-up Week, Saturday, March 28, through Sunday, April 4.

Turner said the prisoners will be brought in from the Grant County Detention Center and will be paid 65 cents for each day they work.

County treasurer Candida Wilson told magistrates that volunteer insurance will cover them while they are in Harrison County custody.

Turner added that he and his deputies will be monitoring their work.
