Northcutt is state archery champ

Middle school and high school students competed in the state archery tournament in Louisville Tuesday, coming home with the first ever state champ from Harrison County.

HCHS sophomore Keith Northcutt won the high school division, with the highest individual overall score of 293 out of 300.

HCMS eighth grader Brandon White placed seventh in the middle school division.

“They behaved really well and I was proud of every one of them,” said head coach Rossie Barnes. “They all did good...”

Overall team scores put the high school in 11th place, the middle school in ninth place and the sixth graders placed seventh in the elementary division.
