Junior varsity and freshman football

handle Grant County

In a rare Saturday morning game, the Harrison County freshman footballers defeated Grant County’s rookie Braves by a 16-6 margin at Ingles Field.

A pair of touchdown runs by DeShon Talbott and an extra point run by quarterback Zach Royce put the points on the board for Harrison County, which had a shutout until less than a minute left in the game when an ill-advised pass was picked off and ran back 60 yards by the Braves for their only points.
