Cynthiana Merchants softball team

participates in softball championship

The first county-state championships in softball were held on Oct. 18 and 19 in Owensboro, Ky. Forty counties were represented.

The Cynthiana Merchants, coached by Gary Sipe, represented Harrison County. The team finished second to Bullitt County.

Team members were: Bruce Nix, Kylie Vaughn, Doug Martin, Greg Martin, Chris Reffett, Daniel White, Scotty Mattox, Shannon Cook, Dallas Martin, Vince Harris, Kyle Hatterick, D. J. Lemons, and Daryl Fryman.

Youth wrestling organizational meeting

Anyone ages 6-13 interested in Harrison County Youth Wrestling should attend an organizational meeting on Thursday, Oct. 30 beginning at 6:30 p.m. in the Southside Elementary gymnasium.

Sportsmens night out Nov. 1

A sportsmens night out will be held Saturday, Nov. 1 at the Cynthiana Country Club. Doors open at 6:30 p.m. Advance ticket sales only, $25. There will be no tickets sold at the door. Wear an orange or camo shirt and receive a chance on a new gun.
