The Cynthiana Police Department and E911 are hoping to establish a special needs assistance registry that will be used in the event of an emergency.
Dottie Batte, Cynthiana police officer and former telecommunicator, said this is a completely voluntary service. However, it will be helpful to first responders who may be called to a residence where someone who has special needs could be assisted.
