Many may have thought the Harrison County Marching Thorobreds were getting an early start to this year’s marching season, but not so, said director John Merz.
The sounds coming from the Hilltop last week did indeed belong to a marching group, but in this case, it was the Bluecoats Drum and Bugle Corps, a world class marching unit from Canton, Ohio.
The corps arrived Friday around 2 a.m., and, after being welcomed to the Hilltop by Merz, slept in the middle school gymnasium.
