It’s going to be their day. When the soldiers of C Company 201st Engineering Battalion wake up Saturday morning, it will be a day designated to their honor.
Harrison County Judge Executive Alex Barnett has declared May 16 as 201st Day to honor the men and women who served a nine-month tour in Afghanistan.
They returned home in March and will receive their hero’s parade Saturday at 8:30 a.m.
Retired Sgt. Allen Fryman said he is anxious for the community to focus on the parade and the sacrifices of the soldiers.
