Soccer is often low scoring, but in Paris and Grant County’s case, if you don’t score at all it is hard to win.
This is what the Lady Hounds and the Lady Braves discovered when they faced Tiffany Snider and the Harrison County Fillies’ defense. Last Wednesday night, the Lady Hounds visited LeBus Field and fell by a 1-0 score.
Kassy Barnett fired one in off the Paris goal keeper with 10 minutes gone in the first half and the defense made the score hold up. Harrison County out shot Paris 14-4, but could not connect with the back of the net to add to the score.
This win made the Fillies the No. 2 seed in the district and will have them paired up against George Rogers Clark when the district begins next Wednesday. Harrison County will host the district. Paris’ record now stands at 4-10-3 while the Fillies improve to 6-8-2.
