The Harrison County Thorobreds soccer team lost a tough battle Thursday night to the state’s 17th ranked team in Newport Central Catholic, 1-0, on what would have to be pure bad luck.
Playing on a wet field for the first time this season, the Thorobreds’ goal keeper, Christian Carey, slipped coming out of goal to field a ball and the visiting team kicked one in for the game’s only point.
The Thorobreds had several opportunities to score in this match but just could not get one to fall in though they played good offense at times.
