Former Harrison County baseball star and Chicago White Sox Chris Snopek and his son, Christopher, led the Jackson, Mississippi, PSA 13U Sox Red team to the Perfect Game Super 25 Final 4 National Championship in McKinney Texas, last weekend.
The Sox Red won six straight games in bracket play to become champions defeating the Dallas Tigers 9-4 in the final. The elder Snopek is the coach of the team and son, Christopher, plays centerfield.
Perfect Game Super 25 is a nationally based group based out of Atlanta and is one of the two largest affiliates for 13U baseball. The other is the United States Sport Specialty Association where the Sox Red is currently ranked No. 1 in the power rankings.
The tournament held in Dallas, won by the Sox Red, featured the top 20 teams in the Perfect Game Super 25 ratings.
Many of the Jackson Sox Red players received their training at Snopek’s P360 Performance Sports facility. Chris and Christopher are the son and grandson of Barbara and Don Snopek of Cynthiana. For more information on P360 Performance Sports check out PSA360.com.
