skills-USA. On April 5-8, 15 members of the Harrison County SkillsUSA Chapter attended and competed in the State SkillsUSA Conference in Louisville. Twelve of these students won medals in the conference and each will receive scholarships. The first place winners are eligible to compete in June in Kansas City at the SkillsUSA National Conference. The students are enrolled in Carpentry, Machine Tool, Automotive, Information Tech and Industrial Maintenance classes at KY Tech Harrison County ATC. First place winners were: Employment Application Process-Russell Whitaker, Outstanding Chapter-Samantha Cordray and Mindy Hill; Related Technical Math-Luke Perraut; Technical Computer Applications-Shawn Ravenscraft; second, Wood Sculpture-Austin Lail and Mechatronics (team 2)-James Rush and Robert Hensley; and third place, CNC Milling (technical)-Brad Evans, Job Interview-Dalton Clark and Mechatronics (team 1)-Josh Marshall and Caleb Pineur.
