Senior Anthony Shirley led the way as the Harrison County Thorobreds wrestlers finished only 14 points away from third place in the 7th Region wrestling tournament at Western Hills Saturday.
Shirley scored a reversal on Dunbar’s Brad Milford with five seconds left in the match to win the 120 lb region title 12-11.
Five other wrestlers qualified for the state tournament held this weekend at the Kentucky Horse Park in the Alltech Arena.
