The family of a 13-year-old girl who was sexually abused by a Cynthiana man said Tuesday that the five-year prison sentence was “acceptable” but not necessarily adequate.
Robert Meadows, 45, who pleaded guilty to three counts of first degree sexual abuse by subjecting the girl to sexual contact when she was incapable of providing consent because she was less than 12 years old, was sentenced Tuesday in Harrison Circuit Court.
The girl, who was 10 when the abuse first began in March 2010, moved to Cynthiana from another county with her mother.
