The May 20 primary and Nov. 4 general elections are bringing a number of new and incumbent candidates to the ballot.
On the local level, contested races so far have developed in some of the magisterial districts, for the county judge-executive seat, jailer, sheriff, PVA; and so far only three candidates have filed for one of four seats on the Cynthiana City Commission; only one has filed for the Berry Commission.
For magisterial district 1, incumbent Frank Henson (R) remains without opposition.
