School officials review safety plan

While schools around the nation are preparing for their Christmas breaks, the community of Newtown, Conn., is burying 28 of its residents -- 20 children, seven adults and the 20-year-oldgunman.
According to accounts of the Dec. 14 shooting, Adam Lanza forced his way into Sandy Hook Elementary School and began his shooting rampage.
Harrison County Schools assistant superintendent D.G. Fischer said Tuesday that local school officials have been looking at their practices to make sure schools are safe.
