School cuts may be deep
School officials ponder governor’s proposal to cut spending by 4 percent
A mandatory 4 percent cut in funding for the Harrison County School District, as could be directed from Gov. Steve Beshear as early as Friday, would not cripple finances for the balance of this fiscal year, but it could prove alarming for next year, according to Julie Asher, district financial officer.
