School closings due to winter weather this week has forced Harrison County Schools to designate spring break as the make-up days for the school calendar.
“We have exhausted all our options,” Harrison County School Superintendent Andy Dotson said, noting that using spring break will be his recommendation to the school board at a special called meeting Wednesday afternoon.
With classes cancelled for Wednesday, Harrison County students have missed 22 days of school this winter, Dotson said.
