I hate to date myself with a “Yeah, when I was young...,” but that’s exactly what I’m going to do.
I remember scavenging in my brother’s Dodge Dart for four quarters so that we could put, yes, four gallons of gas in his car.
It was the early 1970s and Barry had his license. We could cruise on four gallons of gasoline for a long time.
Gas stations around Kentucky were fighting it out for the cheapest gas crown. It was a great time for a gas war.
Ah. What I wouldn’t give now for a good ole price war.
