A Harrison County man remains in jail after being charged with assault of a police officer.
Christopher Combs, 29, was arrested Thursday night after police were called to a fight on Fourth Street.
According to Ptl. Joe Warden of the Cynthiana Police Department, Combs was one of the parties involved in the fight.
When Warden advised Combs that he had an outstanding warrant from a Fayette County indictment, Combs jumped from the porch and began running from the area.
