The cold wind that blew through Cynthiana Sunday evening made it difficult to keep candles lit during a prayer vigil for the Chesnut family. However, there was no shortage of warmth as friends, family and strangers gathered to support the family that had lost two small children in a Wednesday afternoon fire.
The funeral is being held today (Monday) in Winchester for Rachel and Jacqueline Chesnut. The girls died from injuries received in the fire that burned their home on Oddville Avenue last Wednesday.
According to Albert Chesnut, one of the eight Chesnut children, the family has been offered a house in Grant County and will likely move there.
Mother Shelley Chesnut is a teacher at Grant County Middle School.
